Angeles City execs donate computers to public schools

Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin, Jr.’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel gave computer units to 10 public schools in Angeles City, using funds they personally raised and their own Beautéderm fees for two consecutive years.

The local executives personally delivered the computer units to the first batch of schools on July 25, 2022 with Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Officer Irish Bonus-Llego.

“We aim for the educational development of our children and schools in the city, especially those who need it most,” said Manuel, who recently vowed through her Facebook post to give back before her birthday on August 1.

DONATION. Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr.’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Angeles City Government Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel on July 25, 2022 turn over their personal donation of computer units to the first five public school beneficiaries. This is to complement the educational program of Mayor Lazatin. Calaguas and Manuel are assisted by ACEDIPO Head Irish Bonus-Llego.

“This will also complement the educational programs being undertaken by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. who vows that no Angeleño children will be left behind in terms of education,” Manuel furthered.

Manuel and Calaguas’ personal capacities to donate computer units is also part of their advocacy to assist schools during their Brigada Eskwela. Said school supplies will be turned over consecutively.

The first batch visited today for the turn over of computer units are Northville 15 Integrated School, Cutud Elementary School, EPZA Resettlement Elementary School, Sitio Pader Elementary School (Pulung Maragul) and Malabanias Integrated School (Santol).

Tomorrow, July 26, 2022, the next five schools are scheduled: Sitio Target Elementary School; Sapangbato Elementary School; Tacondo Elementary School; Edilberto M. Ganzon Elementary Shool; and Pampang Elementary School.

Calaguas said this initiative is a small effort compared to the hard work and dedication of teachers in providing quality education to the youth.

“Maliit na bagay lamang po ito kumpara sa sakripisyo sa serbisyo ng mga guro sa gitna ng pandemya,” Calaguas shared, adding “Maraming salamat po sa pagbibigay ng de kalidad na edukasyon para sa mga kabataang Angeleños. Kaisa po kami ni Ms. Manuel sa pangangalaga sa kapakanan ng mga kabataan, lalong-lalo na para sa kanilang edukasyon.”

Calaguas also thanked Beautéderm Corporation led by President and Chief Executive Officer Rei Anicoche-Tan for the unending support.

Calaguas and Manuel are both brand ambassadors of Beautéderm. Their fees as ambassadors are donated and being used for health, education, welfare, and animal welfare advocacies.

For the past two years, Calaguas and Manuel have been donating computer units and school supplies to different schools throughout the city.

In 2021, they also donated 10 computer units to 10 public schools, as well as school supplies, photocopier units and bond paper.
