Home-based ‘mananahis’ hired by the Angeles City government received their salaries on Monday, January 17, 2022, from the Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (ACEDIPO) personnel.
The said ‘mananahis,’ who were hired under the Angeleño First Livelihood Program, recently turned over the finished products of 250 facemasks and 20 PPEs.
Renowned Angeleño designers Rich Sabinian, Rosette Biag, Danica Zita, Manny Ocampo, Stephen Victoriano, Jhune Angeles, Joey Feliciano, Bhry Adefuin, Jojo Macapinlac, Mich Viray, Carl Miranda, Cholo Ayuyao, Richard Hill, Rop Syquia, Philip Dizon Torres, Marlon Tuazon, and Frederick Policarpio created the designs and patterns of the reusable facemasks and PPEs for the livelihood program.
The Angeleño First Livelihood Program is an inititative of Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr., together with the Gender and Development (GAD) Office, led by Mina Cabiles, and ACEDIPO, headed by Irish Bonus-Llego, to provide Angelenos with sustainable livelihood and protect the environment in this time of pandemic.
The said reusable facemasks and PPEs will be donated to the frontline workers of Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (ACDRRMO), City Health Office (CHO) and Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center (RLMMC).
