‘Bale Pusu’: A Sneak Peek

Bale Pusu, the first city-operated home for the aged, was inaugurated today, September 15.

Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel supervised the design and concept, in coordination with Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr.’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, City Engr. Donato Dizon, City Social Welfare and Development Officer Edna Duaso, Angeles City Tourism Office Head Anneleen Antonio-Sugui, Gender and Development Officer-in-Charge Mina Cabiles, and Angeles City Economic Development Investment and Promotions Office Head Irish Bonus-Llego. The team went full blast in seeing the project through.

A sneak peek
Inside the facility are a receiving area, recreational area, bedrooms, mess hall, and kitchen.
Television sets are also installed in Bale Pusu for the entertainment of the seniors. There are also board games like scrabble.

The cozy vibe in the facility will help reduce the stress of the housed female elderly and make them feel relaxed.

Bale Pusu will initially house 8 to 12 homeless female senior citizens, who will be looked after by doctors from Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center led by Dr. Froilan Canlas, and social workers and additional house parents from CSWDO.

The grandmas housed in the facility will also have their very own Beautéderm tumblers and AU revoir (skin soothing oil) donated by President and Chief Executive Officer Rei Anicoche Tan and slippers and hygiene kits with bath soap and hair comb provided by Manuel and Calaguas.
