Aurora Province has awarded the winners of the Search For Huwarang Pantawid Pamilya and Best PLANTawid Family.

For the Huwarang Pantawid Pamilya, the Vargas Family from Brgy. Calabgan, Casiguran was named  Grand Winner, followed by the Salaguisag Family from Brgy. Dianawan, Maria Aurora, and the Jacob Family from Brgy. Puangi, Dipaculao.

As for Best Pamilyang PLANTawid, the Grand Winner was the Asuncion Family from Barangay Tabas, Casiguran, followed by the Dumanay Family from Barangay Dikildit, Maria Aurora, and third was the Magbanua Family from Puangi, Dipaculao.

Such a contest is held annually in the Province of Aurora, where SWAD-Aurora is partnered with the Provincial Government of Aurora which tirelessly supports the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program and other DSWD programs.

The contest aims to recognize exceptional families belonging to the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program who diligently follow the conditions of the program; maintains strong ties and upholds Filipino values; actively participating in community affairs; and continue to strive to improve their living conditions despite the challenge caused by poverty.

The Provincial Search for Pamilyang PLANTawid 2022 is a contest that aims to promote a healthy and prosperous family and community by having vegetables in the yard of families belonging to the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program. The program also aims to help emphasize the importance of having and serving nutritious meals for the family.

Field validation was conducted on October 18-27, 2022 in eight Aurora towns.
