Bale Pusu assesses first ward

Sixty-six year-old Elizabeth Girao, the first ward at Bale Pusu, gets a regular health assessment from Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center Chief of Hospital Dr. Froilan Canlas on Sept. 20, 2021.

Bale Pusu is the first ever city-operated home for the homeless/abandoned elderly which opened last Sept. 15 and can house 8 to 12 homeless female senior citizens.

Seen worn by Girao inside Bale Pusu is the official duster designed by homegrown designer Rosette Ramos-Biag, with the help of 10 home-based mananahi hired under the Angeleño First Facemask livelihood program. (Angeles City Information Office)
