The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has partnered with Filipino tech firm CostPlus, Inc. to accelerate the country’s transition toward clean, renewable, and smart energy solutions, starting in New Clark City and other BCDA-managed estates.

Under a newly signed memorandum of understanding, BCDA and CostPlus will conduct feasibility studies for key sustainable energy projects — including a 5-megawatt microgrid system powered by solar, battery storage, and hybrid technologies, as well as a 20-metric ton-per-day waste-to-energy facility designed to produce compressed natural gas for public transport and high-grade fertilizers as by-products.

To commemorate the partnership, CostPlus, Inc. donated an electric bus to BCDA, symbolizing their shared commitment to advancing sustainability and promoting green mobility across the country.
