BCDA to bet on sustainability and technology-The Voice Newsweekly

Leading of developing smart cities in the Philippines, Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) PCEO Aileen Zosa discussed how sustainability and technology are influencing the way BCDA projects are being developed.

During the 38th AIBP Conference & Exhibition, PCEO Zosa expressed how #BCDA is future-proofing its developments, like the new terminal building of Clark International Airport and New Clark City.

The New Clark City will soon established the country’s largest public park, a pilot affordable housing complex, and an underground utility corridor.

BCDA, in collaboration with the Department of Information and Communications Technology – DICT, built two cable landing stations in Baler, Aurora and Poro Point, La Union for the Luzon Bypass Infrastructure project, which will greatly improve the speed, affordability, and accessibility of broadband internet across the archipelago to help businesses thrive in the digital economy.

“BCDA is committed to five United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDG Action Campaign) – particularly UN SDG 9 on investments in industry, innovation and Infrastructure; UN SDG 8 on the promotion of decent work and economic growth; UN SDG 3 on good health and well-being; UN SDG 17, which highlights the value of partnerships; and UN SDG 11 on the development of sustainable cities and communities,” Zosa added.
