Be seen at Hilton Clark’s Xi Cantonese resto

Members of the Pampanga press spent an intimate Friday at the beautiful Hilton Clark Sun Valley Resort, where a delicious and exclusive sampling of authentic Cantonese treats were served at Xi, the hotel’s specialty restaurant.

We were served an amazing feast which opened with appetizers Xiao long bao, pork and shrimp siomai and crystal prawn hakaw.

This was followed by Peking duck, crispy pork belly, pork char siew, and herbal double boiled soup.

As if that weren’t enough, we were also served wok fried shrimp, scallops with celery in XO sauce, Singaporean chili crab, wok fried beef with asparagus in black pepper sauce, homemade tofu with minced meat and broccoli, Chinese bokchoy with garlic in oyster sauce. Then a helping of Stir fried hofun noodles, a second way of duck came to fore.

But wait… there’s more! To finish off the already hearty helping of already excessive gustatory treats, a palate cleanser in the name of lemon grass jelly, tropical fruit sorbet was served.

Hilton Clark Sunvalley Resort commercial director Francis David, after saying in jest that he doesn’t actually direct commercials, as his title would say, made everyone feel welcome and, with Director of Sales JP Gutierrez, initiated the games and perker-uppers which made everyone feel at home.

Considering the pandemic circumstances and restrictions, an amazing time was had. It was definitely great to reunite face to face with friends and colleagues from the media and the totally superb peeps from Hilton Clark Sun Valley Resort and Xi Restaurant.

Hilton Clark Sun Valley’s Xi Restaurant lived up to its name. It’s a place of good fortune, indeed. Fortunate to be reunited with friends and colleagues in a place that is welcoming of reconnection with friends then and now, and in days to come.
