BOC Port of Clark gets ISO 9001:2015 Certification

The Bureau of Customs-Port of Clark International Airport officially received its ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) Certificate last November 8, 2021.

Committed to its mandate to improve customs service aligned with international best practices, the Port of Clark started its ISO Certification Journey in the 2020 in accordance with the Top 10 Priority Program of Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero.

Various stages of compliance were completed by the Port until it passed the last stage of External Audit last August 5, 2021 where the TuVSuD Certifying Body recommended for the issuance of ISO 9001:2015 Certification for 14 processes involving Provision of Cargo Clearance Operations, Customs Arrival Operations and Customer Care.

On October 25, 2021, TuVSuD officially awarded the ISO 9001:2015 Certificate to the Port of Clark, making it the first collection district in a freeport to be ISO Certified.

Sharing the fruit of hard work, District Collector Alexandra Lumontad presented and shared the ISO Certificate to its personnel last November 8, 2021 during the port’s regular meeting. She likewise awarded the Certificates of Commendation that Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero issued to the key personnel who were instrumental on the said feat.

District Collector Alexandra Lumontad said in a statement that with continuous collective effort and commitment, there can be no barriers that the Port of Clark can’t surpass towards Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero’s reforms for the Bureau of Customs. (BOC)
