Angeles City mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., revealed that Book Cafe, which will serve as a venue for residents of the city to enjoy a good book, while sipping our very own locally produced Angeleño coffee, is coming up soon.
On Tuesday, September 21, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel conducted an ocular inspection on the ongoing renovation for the Book Cafe, which is housed inside the Angeles City Library.
Manuel was joined by City Engineer Donato Dizon, Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Officer Irish Bonus-Llego, and City Librarian Erma Manalo.
Mayor Pogi shared, “Bukod sa matutulungan natin mga kababayan natin, mai-showcase din natin yung kapeng Angeleño, na kayang makipagsabayan sa mga international brand ng kape.”
Lazatin’s Chief Adviser and Tactician Director IC Calaguas meanwhile said the Book Cafe “will help local coffee farmers sell their products more effectively, enabling them to provide for their families especially during this pandemic.”
