Booster shots for elderly, PWD continue in Angeles City

The Angeles City Government, led by Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr., on February 4, 2022 administered booster shots to bedridden elderly, persons with disabilities and 80 to 99-year-old residents from Barangays Sto Domingo, Sto. Rosario, San Jose, Cutcut, Cuayan and Anunas.

Doctors and health workers of the Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center (RLMMC), health workers of City Health Office, members of the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs and Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council led the vaccination of booster shots to the elderly and PWDs.

The city government will inoculate a total of 479 bedridden elderly and 104 PWDs via house-to-house visitation.

“Ginagawa po natin ang house-to-house vaccination para sa ating mga bedridden senior citizens, PWDs at mga 80 to 99 years old para hindi na sila mahirapan sa pagpunta sa mga vaccination sites natin,” Lazatin said.

Apart from the administration of vaccine via house-to-house, P1,000 cash assistance and Vitamin C supplements were also given to the elderly and PWDs.
