The Department of Social Welfare and Development or DSWD recognized the provincial government of Bulacan for achieving the Highest Rating – Level 3 – in the 2022 Service Delivery Capacity and Competency Assessment or SDCCA.
Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office Chief Rowena Tiongson accepted the award in a ceremony that was part of the agency’s 72nd anniversary.
According to Tiongson, the SDCCA measures the service delivery of each local government based on three criteria: administration and organization, program management and institutional mechanism.
This is part of DSWD’s Technical Assistance and Resource Augmentation for Local Social Welfare and Development Offices.
Meanwhile, Pandi town was also recognized for providing aid 12 times to its 42,000 residents during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In his message, Governor Daniel Fernando said that with the award Bulacan received, the provincial government will further improve the implementation of social service programs that reach every community to ensure that they receive the services intended for them.
The provincial chief also thanked the staff and volunteer workers who cooperated in delivering a higher level of service to the Bulakenyos. (PIA 3)
