Cebu Pacific expands flight options from Davao

Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), the leading airline in the Philippines, has announced the launch of additional domestic and international flights from Davao, enhancing the connectivity of Mindanao’s economic and cultural center with both the Philippines and the world.

Starting October 27, 2024, CEB will operate daily flights between Davao and Caticlan and Puerto Princesa, alongside four weekly flights to Hong Kong. Additionally, three weekly flights to Bangkok-Don Mueang will commence on October 28, and three weekly flights to Tacloban will start on October 29.

Candice Iyog, CEB’s Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer, expressed enthusiasm about expanding the airline’s network in and out of Davao. “We are thrilled to strengthen the city’s connectivity both locally and globally. These new routes reaffirm our commitment to supporting Davao’s growth as a key economic hub, offering greater convenience for travelers and opening doors for tourism, business, and cultural exchange,” she stated.

Previously, Davao passengers faced the inconvenience of booking connecting flights through Manila, often spending up to eight hours traveling to reach destinations like Hong Kong and Bangkok. With CEB’s new direct international flights, travelers can enjoy quicker access without the added costs of layovers. Now, flights from Davao to Hong Kong and Bangkok take just 3.5 hours, allowing passengers to save up to five hours of travel time. Furthermore, travelers can benefit from savings of up to 35% on one-way fares to Hong Kong and up to 99% to Bangkok with these direct flights.

The new routes to Caticlan, Puerto Princesa, and Tacloban also provide opportunities for travelers to explore the iconic attractions, rich cuisines, and vibrant cultures of each destination. CEB currently operates direct flights from Davao to Manila, Cebu, Clark, Bacolod, Cagayan De Oro, Iloilo, Siargao, Tagbilaran, and Zamboanga.

“Passengers can enjoy same-day return options with the added flights. Fly to Manila, Cebu, or Iloilo in the morning, attend your meeting, and be back in Davao in time for dinner,” Iyog added, emphasizing CEB’s flexible flight schedules designed to maximize travel experiences.

Cebu Pacific serves a network of 35 domestic and 26 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
