Pampanga First District Representative Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. spearheaded the inspection and declogging of drainage along Friendship Highway on August 20, 2025, covering the stretch from Barangay Anunas to Barangay Sto. Domingo in Angeles City.

The operation, undertaken in coordination with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Pampanga 3rd District Engineering Office led by District Engineer Arnold Ocampo, also involved the Angeles City Engineering Office and the Angeles City Traffic Development Office, headed by Helen Ayro and Francis Pangilinan, respectively.

Lazatin emphasized the need to address long-standing drainage issues, particularly in light of recent flooding incidents. This activity is the first in a series of cleanup and declogging efforts his office will carry out with DPWH across the First District.

Also present during the activity were Lazatin’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, Chief Political Affairs Officer Reina Manuel, and Political Affairs Assistant I Michael Lising.
