Cops nab seven in connection with murder of spouses Arvin and Lerma Lulu

Police have arrested seven people linked to the murder of Arvin and Lerma Lulu, who were shot in Santo Rosario, Mexico, Pampanga, on October 4, 2024.

After a thorough investigation, police teams from the Mexico Municipal Police Station, Pampanga Provincial Intelligence Unit, and Regional Mobile Force Battalion carried out a two-day operation from October 13 to 14. They arrested two main suspects, Arnold Taylan (the gunman) and Arnel Buan (the backrider), in Nueva Ecija.

Taylan and Buan’s statements helped police identify the other five suspects: Robert Dimaliwat, Rolando Cruz, Jomie Rabandaban, Sancho Nieto, and the suspected mastermind, Anthony Limon. Investigators found that Limon, an online seller like the victims, owed them Php 13 million, which may have motivated the crime.

During the arrests, police seized nine firearms, including three 9mm pistols, five .45 caliber pistols, a .22 caliber rifle, and an air gun.

PBGEN Redrico A. Maranan, the Regional Director of Police Regional Office 3, praised the police’s hard work and reiterated their commitment to justice for the victims’ families. “Ensuring community safety is our top priority,” he said. “We will do everything we can to bring justice for this crime.”
