CPOSCO traffic enforcers to be deputized by LTO3
Eighty-three (83) traffic enforcers from the City Public Order & Safety Coordinating Office (CPOSCO) are set to be deputized by the Land Transportation Office Region 3 before the end of July.
With the CPOSCO enforcers, the LTO is also set to deputize members of the San Fernando City Police Office and the regional Highway Patrol Group.
LTO Regional Director Eduardo C. De Guzman says once deputized the said members would have the power to confiscate driver’s license and even impound vehicles of motorists caught breaking traffic laws or committing violations.
CPOSCO focal person Darius Hizon welcomed the development and assured safeguards within their department to prevent abuses and he also guaranteed continuous trainings and seminars of the enforcers aimed at helping the motorists and ease the traffic conditions in the city.
Meanwhile, CPOSCO is gearing up for a joint operation with the LTO, PNP, and HPG to assure motorists are obeying traffic laws and observing proper road courtesy and etiquette. (CSFP CIO)
