CSF Fire Prevention Month kicks off
The City Government of San Fernando joined the nation in the observance of Fire Prevention Month with a theme “Sa Pag-iwas sa Sunog, Hindi ka Nag-iisa.”

The San Fernando Bureau of Fire Protection, led by City Fire Marshal Senior Inspector Ryan Pascual, held a motorcade on March 2, 2022, starting from SM Telabastagan to BFP Region Office.

Personnel from San Fernando Rescue Unit, Health Emergency Management Staff, Philippine National Police, City Public Order and Safety Coordinating Office, barangay leaders and some city department heads joined the motorcade.

According to Pascual, the month of March was declared “Fire Prevention Month” since it is when increased number of fire incidents are recorded nationwide.

Various activities were also lined up for the month long celebration including art contests and fire drills.

Pascual also expressed her gratitude to the local government headed by Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago for always supporting the agency’s actions and programs in promoting fire safety
awareness.

Meanwhile, Mayor Santiago urged Fernandinos to practice fire safety and prevention measures.
