Raising the bar of excellence, championing public service resilience the local government unit of the City of San Fernando was awarded again for its programs in the recent annual “Gawad Timpukan 2022” by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) regional office.
City Mayor Vilma Caluag personally received the city’s award as the 3rd-placer in the MANILA Bayani Awards and also received a P100,000 cash incentive to aid its continuous participation in the Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program.
The LGU also officially received the P7 Million pesos for the Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund awarded by the DILG National Office on December 15, at the Manila Hotel.
The incentive will serve as a supplemental budget for the establishment of the City College of San Fernando Annex Building.
Together with MVC were City Councilor Ricky Hizon, City Administrator Engr. Nelson Lingat, City Treasurer Mary Ann Bautista, City Environment and Natural Resources Officer Maria Teresa Doble, and City Local Government Operations Officer Mark Jason Veran.
Meanwhile, Barangay Malpitic headed by Barangay Captain Noel Tungol was also awarded with the Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentive Award and received a P50,000 cash incentive.(CSFP CIO)
