The City Government of San Fernando honored its “top taxpayers” for the year 2020 during an in-person awarding ceremony on December 21, 2021 at Heroes Hall.
The face-to-face rite was an offshoot to a virtual ceremony held in June of this year, following less-restricted guidelines on mass gatherings.
Nonetheless, only the 22 “Rank 1” corporations and individuals out of more than 70 awardees were present. They were recognized for their timely and accurate payments for business, real property, community, and franchise taxes.

Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago and Vice Mayor Jimmy Lazatin spearheaded the rites, along with Councilor Reden Halili, heads of regulatory offices including City Treasurer Mary Ann Bautista; City Assessor Dr. Luz Bautista; City Business License and Permit Division Chief Salvador Cariño; City Market Operations Division Chief Mila Rivera; and, former BLPD Chief and now consultant Joseph Garcia.
