The city government of San Fernando, in collaboration with the City Agriculture and Veterinary Office supports and promotes women empowerment through urban farming.
On August 16, City Agriculturist Dr. Cristina A. Sangumay together with Gender and Development Focal Person Jay-Ar Hipolito distributed seedlings, plants, and fertilizers to members of Fernandino Women’s Federation from every barangay of the city.
The activity dubbed as “Gulayan ng mga Kababaihan” at the City Nursery also launched the yearly “Gulayan Mo, Show Mo” activity on August 16 to further increase the interest of Fernandinos to Urban Farming and address food security in barangays. (CSFP CIO)
