CSFP starts sewage treatment plant for City Market Plaza

To assure the cleanliness and safety of the city, the local government unit of the City of San Fernando through the City Market Operations Division(CMOD), City Engineering Office(CEO), and City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) currently installed a brand new Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) for the Market Plaza including its wet section.

Aside from STP project city Mayor Vilma Caluag ensured other plans and projects for the safety and hygienic public markets and to improve public facility in the city.

In her agenda there will be a construction of a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), additional sprinklers and smoke detectors for added precautionary and safety measure and construction of stairs and ramps for PWDs and Senior Citizens in the Market Plaza. And also the installation of slip-resistant tile floorings for the New Public Market in Del Pilar.

The STP project is to treat the market’s wastewater before releasing it to creaks or sewers. It is considered as a leap for the City’s thrust in environmental protection and sanitation.

The STP will be operational soon. (CSFP CIO)
