The combined impact of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (Trami) and Typhoon Leon (Kong-rey) has brought the death toll to 111 and affected 1,789,276 families across the Philippines, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
In a situation report on Tuesday, the NDRRMC confirmed 14 fatalities so far, with nine recorded in the Zamboanga Peninsula, two in Central Luzon, two in the Cordillera Administrative Region, and one in Northern Mindanao. Additionally, 97 reported deaths remain under verification: 54 in Calabarzon, 36 in Bicol, five in Central Visayas, and two in Zamboanga Peninsula.
The NDRRMC also reported 74 injuries, 10 of which have been confirmed, and are validating reports of 30 missing individuals.
The storms have impacted over 7.1 million people in 10,181 barangays across 17 regions. As of now, 531,387 people from 121,814 families are taking shelter in 5,872 evacuation centers, while 403,727 people from 84,137 families are receiving assistance outside these centers.
The agency estimates 83,777 houses damaged in 16 regions. Agricultural losses are reported at PHP2.8 billion across nine regions, and infrastructure damages stand at PHP1.54 billion across 10 regions.
