DENR DISTRIBUTES 5,000 SEEDLINGS IN CENTRAL LUZON

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) has distributed 5,000 seedlings across Central Luzon to boost reforestation, urban greening, and livelihood initiatives.

Communities received Molave and Ipil seedlings for reforestation and urban greening, while Guyabano and Mulberry were provided for agroforestry and income generation.

DENR Regional Executive Director Ralph Pablo said the program links environmental protection with community development, stressing that strong public participation is key to sustaining tree-growing efforts.

The agency is working with LGUs, people’s organizations, and other partners to ensure that reforestation and greening initiatives are maintained over time, contributing to a greener, healthier, and more climate-resilient future.
