A total of 1,670 workers from 89 establishments in Central Luzon received a one-time financial assistance of P5,000 from Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program 3 provides aid to workers in the private sector affected by the declaration of Alert Level 3 due to surge in cases last January up to mid-February this year.

DOLE Regional Director Geraldine Panlilio noted that they received applications from more than 700 establishments covering 15,000 employees.

“We have anticipated this number of applications and understand the needs of our fellow Filipinos during this time. That is why we did our best to expedite disbursement,” Panlilio said.

She noted that the first batch of beneficiaries have already received the assistance.

Bulacan had the most beneficiaries with 711 followed by Pampanga with 587, Zambales-180, Tarlac-127, Nueva Ecija-57 and Bataan-8. (PIA 3)
