DOST launch IMTA, award 16 Zambales schools

Sixteen schools from Zambales have received an Interactive Multimedia Audio-Visual Teaching Aids (IMTA) from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) III, through the Community Empowerment thru Science and Technology (CEST) program, at Botolan Municipal Hall on July 13, 2022.

The identified schools from different cities and municipalities are the following: 8 from Botolan, 2 from Cabangan, 1 from San Narciso, 3 from Subic, and 1 from Olongapo City. Each had received a 40-inch HD LED TV which also includes a set of teaching aids suited in areas where access to the internet is low to none.

Also present at the launching and awarding ceremony are the different representatives and teachers of the 16 school-beneficiaries, DOST III Regional Director, Julius Caesar V. Sicat, DOST Provincial Science and Technology Office (DOST-PSTO) Pstc Zambales Provincial Director, Bernardita D. Montevirgen, CEST coordinator Ms. Janice N. Martinez , Regional CEST Ms. Kyra Mica Ella T. Flores, Botolan Vice Mayor Doris Ladines, and Municipal Administrator Jeffrey Bautista.

CEST is one of the banner programs of DOST which aims to deliver sustainable development to various communities nationwide through the provision of S&T interventions. (DOST-Central Luzon)
