The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has started the construction of a P56.16 million bridge in barangay Bayanihan in Maria Aurora.
Aurora District Engineer Roderick Andal said the construction of this new and durable concrete bridge is among the priority projects being implemented by DPWH in the town.
“We are committed to fully complete all infrastructure projects as scheduled,” he added.
Bayanihan Bridge has a 262.20-meter roadway and a bridge structure with an area of 477 square meters.
Moreover, flood control revetments with single barrel box culverts and a total length of 220.00 meters will also be constructed on the right and left banks of the Maria Aurora River.
Stone masonry will also be installed to protect the bridge approaches against scouring. (PIA 3)
