DPWH completes school building in Anao, Tarlac
Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently completed a school building in Anao, Tarlac.
The Tarlac 1st District Engineering Office constructed a four-storey, 16-classroom structure at Anao National High School.
“The newly-constructed building augments the school’s existing facilities and is ready to accommodate returning students should limited face-to-face classes be conducted in the province,” District Engineer Neil Farala said.
The DPWH fast-tracked the implementation of the project to address the school’s need of additional facilities with proper ventilation.
“Good ventilation is important and is a cost-free way to reduce the spread of the coronavirus within school classrooms,” Farala added.
The Php10.27-million school building was funded under the Department of Education (DepEd) Basic Education Facilities Fund as part of the 2021 General Appropriations Act.
It was completed ahead of schedule. (PIA Tarlac)
