The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a two-story, six-classroom school building at La Purisima Integrated School in La Paz, Tarlac, enhancing the learning environment for students and teachers.

Funded under the 2024 national budget, the P9.7-million facility spans 215.65 square meters and includes six spacious classrooms, comfort rooms, a wheelchair ramp for accessibility, and a fire protection system. The new structure aims to provide a safe, inclusive, and conducive space for education.
DPWH Tarlac 2nd District Engineer Edward Ricardo Ramos emphasized the agency’s commitment to improving public infrastructure, particularly school buildings, to support education and community development.
“With this newly constructed school building, La Purisima Integrated School expects to decongest overcrowded classrooms and provide a more comfortable, efficient, and student-centered learning environment,” Ramos said.
Meanwhile, La Purisima Integrated School teacher Juvy Torres expressed gratitude for the new facility, highlighting its impact on students and faculty.
“Our rooms are now spacious, and the students are really motivated to study. They arrive early and can go home on time, so having this new building is a big help,” Torres said.
The completion of this project reflects the government’s continued investment in public infrastructure, particularly in education, to foster learning and community growth.
