Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed the slope protection project along the San Jose Section of Santol Creek in Floridablanca, Pampanga.
Implemented by Pampanga 2nd District Engineering Office, the infrastructure has a total length of 347.52 linear meters.
“The P29.3 million national project was funded under the 2022 General Appropriations Act,” District Engineer Gregorio Audea Jr. said.
This serves as a flood mitigation structure for barangay San Jose to ensure the safety of residents and secure their livelihood.
Conrado Mercado, a local farmer residing in the area since 1972, thanked DPWH for the project as their farmlands no longer experience inundation during the rainy season.
“We are pleased to hear that project stakeholders value the structure we built,” Audea said. (PIA 3)
