DPWH turns over 7ID Multipurpose Building

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) formally turned-over a two-storey multipurpose building to the Army 7th Infantry Division (7ID).

Division Commander Major General Andrew Costelo expressed his gratitude for the newly completed infrastructure.

“This is the result of the Army modernization efforts of the Duterte Administration and we at 7ID are grateful that through the DPWH-Department of National Defense Convergence Program, we have been provided with modern military facilities that inspire us to continue serving the people,” Costelo remarked.

The P40.1-million project is connected via a foot bridge to 7ID’s headquarters building and is expected to enhance infantry effectiveness and readiness.

“DPWH has established a very significant partnership with the Armed Forces specifically with the various Philippine Army Major Units assigned in Fort Magsaysay. Rest assured that our office will continue to provide modern, durable, and high-quality infrastructure facilities that will help improve administrative and military operations,” Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineer Elpidio Trinidad said.

The new facility is equipped with air-conditioning units, function halls for holding various events and seminars, an elevated water system and a pole mounted distribution transformer. security cameras, smoke detectors, mounted solar lights, and fire safety tools such as a fire alarm system, fire hose cabinet assembly and fire extinguisher.
