DTI launches LSP-NSB in Concepcion Tarlac

CONCEPCION, TARLAC – The Department of Trade and Industry-Tarlac and Negosyo Center Concepcion launched the Livelihood Seeding Program – Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) for Brgy. Mabilog, Concepcion, Tarlac on May 26, 2022.

The LSP-NSB is a program of DTI that allows a wider reach of business development assistance by bringing government services closer to the people through partnerships between relevant Local Government Units (LGUs).  It aims to increase the awareness of barangay officials about the services offered by DTI through the Negosyo Centers.

“The goal of this program is to develop more entrepreneurs in this community.  Having a lot of business establishments is a sign of economic progress,” DTI OIC Provincial Director Zaida Garibay said.

LSP-NSB assists established microenterprises that are located in priority barangays in the least developed areas to grow their business through the conduct of entrepreneurship and disaster resilience activities including provision of business kits.

OIC Garibay encouraged the locals of Brgy. Mabilog to coordinate with their Barangay Development Council for possible assistance that could be given to them in terms of business development.

Sari-sari stores from the said barangay were initially evaluated by DTI and five (5) were chosen as beneficiaries of the business kits.  They will regularly be monitored and assisted by DTI through the Negosyo Center Concepcion.

Brgy. Captain Jose Valencia was grateful for the grants received by his fellowmen.  “These kits are of great help to our kabaranggays.  With these additional investment, they will earn more profit and this will support their business growth.” he said.

Brgy Mabilog is 4th among the barangays in the Municipality of Concepcion where LSP-NSB has been launched. (DTI)
