The Department of Trade and Industry Tarlac Provincial Office, together with the Local Price Coordinating Council (LPGG) of LGU-Capas, and Tarlac Consumers Council Incorporated (TCCI), conducted a saturation drive at Capas Public Market on September 28, 2022.
“This is one of the initiatives of the agency being conducted in partnership with the LGU through the LPCC and Consumer Organization as part of our advocacy to promote consumer welfare and protection,” OIC Provincial Director Florencia Balilo said.
A briefing on the Laws on Weights and Measures was given to the inspection team prior the saturation drive.
A total of 115 stores were monitored and out of the 147 analog and digital weighing scales inspected, 2 were found to be defective and were confiscated and turned over to the Office of the Market Administrator.
