TARLAC — Governor Susan Yap confirmed the first case of Mpox (Monkeypox) in the province, as reported by the Department of Health (DOH). Contact tracing is now underway, with the DOH and local government units working together to prevent further transmission.

Governor Yap reminded residents to strictly observe safety measures such as frequent handwashing, wearing face masks in crowded areas, avoiding direct contact with rashes or open wounds, and seeking medical attention at the nearest health center if symptoms appear.

“The health and safety of every Tarlaqueño remains our top priority,” Yap said in her official advisory.
