Four individuals were apprehended for theft during the Tigtigan Terakan Keng Dalan (TTKD) event held in front of Casino Filipino along McArthur Highway, Barangay Balibago, on October 27, 2024.
The suspects, identified as Robinson Rusell Luna Asoy, Christer Miguel Sobiono, Jimson Flandez, and Francis Cristal Villena, were taken into custody around 4:00 AM by officers from Angeles City Police Station 4.
Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. praised the swift response and vigilance of the Angeles City Police, particularly their effective monitoring throughout the TTKD event. “Bawal ‘yan sa Angeles City,” he emphasized, reaffirming the city’s commitment to ensuring a safe environment for both residents and visitors.
The arrests were prompted by a report from Yasmin Sarip Lumabao, a 20-year-old student, who notified authorities of her stolen phone at the TTKD Command Post.
Police intelligence personnel were quickly dispatched to the scene, where they identified the suspects, who were allegedly causing disturbances to divert attention amid the crowded event.
Upon questioning, officers recovered several mobile phones from the suspects, including Lumabao’s Infinix Note 30 5G.
The suspects are currently being held at Police Station 4 for documentation and further investigation.
