Free vitamin C for Angeleño kids

Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. remains true to his mission to promote the welfare and health of all Angeleño youth by strengthening existing programs that aim to prioritize them.

Members of the City Nutrition Office and Barangay Nutrition Scholar, headed by Donna Guanzon, on November 16-17, 2021 distributed Vitamin C supplements to 465 Angeleño kids, aged 0 to 24 months, in Barangays Sta. Teresita, Ninoy Aquino and Sto. Cristo.

Some 5,000 Angeleño kids, aged 0 to 24 months, all over the city’s 33 barangays will receive Vitamin C supplements.

Amid the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, Mayor Lazatin continues to push for programs that will prioritize the health and welfare of Angelenos kids, especially when it comes to providing proper nutrition to the marginalized sector.

It can be recalled that a total of 43,392 children were given oral anti-polio vaccine for the first wave, while 47,052 received the same vaccine on the second wave, giving Angeles City the highest recorded number of vaccinations in the whole Region III.
