SM Supermalls across the country raised the Philippine flag simultaneously in commemoration of the country’s 124th Independence Day. The event is an annual celebration participated by employees, tenants and shoppers of the mall as well as the communities which SM serves.

At SM City Clark, the Philippine Air Force (PAF) led by Col. Ulysses Marquez, Deputy Wing Commander-Tactical Operations Wings for Northern Luzon, took it a notch higher by doing a helicopter confetti drop over the mall’s façade. The PAF also staged a display of combat weaponry and equipment to commemorate its 75th Anniversary. The exhibition will run from June 12 to 17 at The Event Center of SM City Clark.

SM Supermall’s support to local micro-small-medium enterprises, as part of the #SupportLocalatSM campaign and other activities include “Pinoy Eats”, featuring popular Pinoy delicacies to enjoy; “Buy Pinoy”, a wide variety of local products to buy, and the colorful display of Philippine Flag all over the mall added more patriotism.
SM City Pampanga Public Relations Manager Rain Cervantes said the malls join in the country’s annual Independence Day celebration. She added that the event aims to help employees and people remember the values that the crusade for independence had taught the Filipino people.
