Garbo receives overwhelming support, well-wishes from Mabalaqueños

“Yuyuko pero hindi susuko!” This was uttered by incumbent Mabalacat City Mayor Crisostomo Garbo as he resumed his normal tasks as a local chief executive today, March 25, 2022, after suffering severe back pain yesterday.

In an update posted through the Mabalacat City News (MCN) page, the city mayor visited his orthopedic doctor at The Medical City in Clark Freeport Zone for a consultation and medication to ease his recurring spinal condition.

In the same post, which has been flooded with hundreds of comments and shares as of this writing, Mabalaqueños poured their concern, support, and well-wishes to the city mayor.

Despite his physician’s advise to take a break from his hectic day-to-day schedule, the city mayor pushed through with his normal routine as father of the city.

Nagpapasalamat ako at si Vice Mayor Gerald Aquino ay aking katuwang at nagboluntaryong kumatawan sa akin sa iba ko pang mga gawain habang ako ay nagpapagaling,” the city mayor said pertaining to his supposed engagement in the launching of the MCG Sports Camp today.

Furthermore, Mayor Garbo said he was overwhelmed with all the personal get-well messages and prayers of healing he has been receiving from his family, friends, and even from Mabalaqueño netizens who understand his condition.

“Epu magigisan ing obra, elapu magigisan deng masakit, lalong ela magigisan deng manyad saup, keng kampanya naman, ekayupu migaganaka eyoman apuntalan reng ngan purok edako pag palit, relax murin po pamisan misan uling pag ikayupu masakit makalunus la reng antabayanan yu,” commented Marvin Gopez in the MCN post.

“Mayor, Get well soon po., God is with you.. take a rest kasi sobra po kayo kung magwork para sa mabalaqueno.. we will include you in our prayers,” said Mabalaqueño netizen Elizabeth Sicat.

For his part, the city mayor expressed that the outpouring of love and support he received from the Mabalaqueños is a manifestation of their confidence in the kind of leadership he has been advocating, and to the brand of governance that his constituents have been longing for.

Meanwhile, with personal caution in place, Mayor Garbo together with Vice Mayor Aquino and the entire Team MCG slate is set to kick off their election campaign with an Opening Salvo this coming Saturday, March 26.
