In the spirit of service: 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐭𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐋𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐍𝐨𝐢𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐚

Clark Marriott Hotel reinforced its commitment to social responsibility by hosting the recent Le Ballet Noir charity gala for Save the Children Philippines and the Marriott Philippines Associate Welfare and Recovery Fund.

The gala is a Marriott NextGen Business Councils initiative where all Marriott Philippines properties come together to champion Marriott International’s corporate social responsibility pillars. Marriott International has a longstanding commitment to supporting various causes, particularly those benefiting women, children, and their families within the community. This dedication to social responsibility is exemplified through the Marriott Worldwide Business Councils (MWBC) – a network of leaders united by a passion for serving communities where Marriott is present.

Together with the NextGen Business Councils, their passion for hospitality goes beyond the walls of Marriott Hotels and extends to meaningful causes. These programs include the Clean Plate Campaign and the Empty Plate Project which tackle urgent issues like hunger relief and environmental conservation, Project ARAL (Access to Resources for Alternative Learning) which provides access to alternative learning platforms for children from low income families and those with disabilities, and Road to Give, a fun run that aims to provide both emergency and long-term assistance to improve the quality of life for underprovided children.

MWBC Philippines Chairman and Clark Marriott Hotel General Manager Goeran Soelter emphasized Marriott’s commitment to supporting communities. He said, “At Clark Marriott, we believe service excellence is more than a benchmark; it’s a guiding principle that extends to every guest we encounter and the community we serve. It’s great to see the spirit to serve is alive and well in this hotel and I’m very proud of my team for putting this together.”

Le Ballet Noir lived up to the signature brand of service that Soelter and the rest of the Marriott team strives to consistently deliver not just to patrons but the community as a whole. Guests enjoyed a sumptuous feast featuring signature dishes from Clark Marriott’s top-rated restaurants: Goji Kitchen + Bar, Smoki Moto, and Wu Xing, while being serenaded in an enchanting setting. The highlight of the evening was the set of classical ballet performances the young ballerinas of The Dance Conservatory, embodying the spirit of children supporting children and others in need.

Beyond the gala, the public may also participate in a silent auction featuring artworks by Filipino artist Claire Jaun-Torres, accommodations from different Marriott Hotels in the Philippines, and a signature piece by Kapampangan fashion designer Frederick Policarpio. All proceeds from the charity gala and the silent auction will contribute directly to Save the Children Philippines’ programs aimed at ensuring the welfare of Filipino children and the Marriott Philippines Associate Welfare and Recovery Fund to aid Marriott associates in their time of need.

Marriott NextGen Business Councils Chairman and Clark Marriott Hotel Director of Sales Jenny Rivera underscored the power of collaboration in realizing Marriott’s vision of service and hospitality through Le Ballet Noir. She said, “Collaboration was key to the success of this event. Beyond the amazing teamwork of the Marriott leaders and associates, we were able to deliver a meaningful and memorable guest experience thanks to the overwhelming support of our partners and the community.”

A passionate leader, Soelter sets his sights on sustaining the Marriott culture of excellence in hospitality and service. “As we look to the future, we look forward to the continuity of our purpose-driven initiatives wherever Marriott is present in the years to come.
