JASA road widening starts
The Department of Public Works and Highways in Central Luzon (DPWH-3) has started widening activities at a section of the Jose Abad Santos Avenue (JASA) in the City of San Fernando to ease traffic flow along the busy thoroughfare.
A DPWH-3 Pampanga team led by Engr. Juana Faye Magpayo met with City of San Fernando Mayor Vilma B. Caluag recently to announce the start of the road widening works.
The road widening, that officially began on July 4, will cover an 800-meter stretch on the westbound section of the JASA starting at the Fortune Restaurant. The project will widen the road by 30 meters, including the sidewalk.

The mayor wants DPWH to prioritize the rehabilitation of damaged roads within the city and clearing of drainages to relieve road flooding issues.
