KADIWA MARKET POSTS ₱113K SALES IN TWO DAYS — 2ND HIGHEST SINCE LAUNCH

The city’s homegrown Kadiwa ni Kita at Ani program recorded ₱113,531 in sales during its most recent two-day run — now the second highest since the initiative was launched in April 2024.

Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. attributed the program’s continued success to the strong support of Angeleños, who flock to the monthly market to buy affordable goods while directly supporting local farmers and vendors.

“When we champion our local producers and prioritize access to basic commodities, the community responds,” Lazatin said. “This is proof that people will support initiatives that meet their everyday needs.”

Held at the Angeles City Hall grounds, the Kadiwa event featured 10 stalls showcasing produce and goods from city-based merchants, including members of the Aeta community from Barangay Sapangbato who sold freshly harvested fruits and vegetables.

Since launching with ₱36,000 in sales last year, the program has gained traction — hitting a peak of ₱117,000 in April before this recent second-highest record.

An initiative aligned with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s Kadiwa ng Pangulo program through the Department of Agriculture, Angeles City’s localized version is managed by Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel and Chief Adviser IC Calaguas. It is implemented in coordination with the Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (ACEDIPO) under Irish Bonus-Llego and the City Agriculture Office led by Rea R. Dizon.
