Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda along with Senator Imee Marcos distributed financial aid and food to 2,600 women in the towns of Arayat, Magalang and Mexico recently.
The beneficiaries received the aid under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
They were also given food items by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO). Short programs were held in each town where the women warmly welcomed Marcos, who gamely mingled and greeted the residents.
“Malaki po ang pasasalamat ko kay Senator Imee para sa lahat ng itinutulong niya sa probinsiya, partikular sa larangang medikal at agrikultural. Sa kabila po ng pagiging abala niya, nagagawa pa rin po niyang bisitahin tayo para maghatid ng tulong,” Pineda said.
The senator will also give an additional Php5 million to each of the three LGUs for their various projects. (Pampanga PIO)
