Lazatin distributes emergency bags to public schools

ANGELES CITY — Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. on July 18, 2022 distributed Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Trauma Bags to the second batch of public schools in the city, in celebration of National Disaster Resilience Month.

Lazatin was with Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (ACDRRMO) Chief Rudy Simeon during the handing over of trauma bags to the 40 public schools’ disaster risk reduction and management officers.

Among the recipients of trauma bags are: A.G. Tinio ES, Air Force City ES, Alberto G. Pabalan ES, Amsic IS, Angeles City National HS-SHS, Angeles City Science High School, Angeles City Senior HS, Bonifacio V. Romero HS-JHS, Bonifacio V. Romero HS-SHS, Cuayan ES, Don Ambrocio Mendiola IS, Don Pepe Henson ES, Dr. Clemente N. Dayrit Sr. ES, Dr. Clemente N. Dayrit Sr. MHS, Enrica Sandico and ES, EPZA Rest. ES.

Also recepients of the emergency preparedness bags were Francisco G. Nepomuceno MHS, Gov. Rafael L. Lazatin IS, Gueco-Balibago ES, Jose P. Dizon ES, Lourdes Northwest ES, M. Nepomuceno ES, Malabanias IS, Marisol Bliss ES, Northville 15 IS-JHS, Northville 15 IS-SHS, Pampang ES, Pineda-Gutierrez ES, Rafael L. Lazatin MHS-JHS, Rafael L. Lazatin MHS-SHS, Salapungan ES, San Ignacio ES, Sapangbato National HS-JHS, Sapangbato National HS-SHS, Sitio Target IS, Sta. Maria ES, Sto. Domingo IS, Sto. Rosario ES, Tacondo ES, and Teodoro P. Tinio ES.

The awarding of EMS Trauma Bags to the public schools is part of the priority programs of Mayor Lazatin to encourage teachers to put priority on disaster prevention and preparedness.

Inside the EMS Trauma Bags are gauze pads, cotton balls, alcohol swab, iodine swab stick, micropore tape, leucoplast, elastic bandage, tweezers, hot packs, cold packs, sam splint, trauma scissors, set of oropharyngeal airway, bag valve mask, stethoscopes, pulse oximeter, thermal blanket, BP apparatus set, and thermometer.

Aside from the awarding of trauma bags, ACDRRMO staff will also showcase Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support Training Materials, Vehicular Extrication and Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue Equipage, Mountain Search and Rescue Equipage and Water Search and Rescue Equipage.

Also present during the event are City Councilor Marino Bañola, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, DILG – Angeles City Director Darwin David, BFP – Angeles City Director FCInsp. Errick Dereo, ACPO City Director PCol. Diosdado Fabian, DEPED PDO II – Division DRRM Coordinator Clarisa Antigo-Lagman, AFP 303rd CDC Pampanga OIC 2LT. Ramon Gonzales Jr. and Liga ng mga Barangay President Jeremias Alejandrino.

Last March 2022, 18 public schools already received their trauma baga namely: Cutcut ES, Apung Guidang ES, Sapangbato ES, Belen Homesite ES, Sitio Pader ES, Leoncia Village ES, Sta.Teresita ES, Cutud ES, Mining ES, VDR ES, AES ES, E. M. Ganzon, Pulung Cacutud ES, Sapalibutad ES, Pulungbulu ES, Claro M. Recto ICT HS, Angeles City National Trade School and Angeles City National HS.
