Lazatin orders vaccination of all minors aged 12 to 17 starting November 5
ANGELES CITY — Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. has ordered today, Oct. 28, 2021 the vaccination of the 12-17 age group starting November 5 via the Sundo Bakuna sa Barangay of the city government.
The vaccination of minors, Lazatin said, is set to be finished in 10 days, targeting all minors, aged 12-17, in the 33 barangays.
Lazatin explained that there will be a schedule per barangay for the vaccination.
Lazatin’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, also the chief implementer of the city government’s vaccination program, said once the guidelines and scheduling have been finalized, it will be announced on the Facebook page of the City Information Office.
However, minors that are set to receive the vaccines should be accompanied by a legal guardian.
Those who also belong to the comorbidity group or with existing health conditions should have clearance from their medical doctor.
The Sundo Bakuna scheme of the city government takes Angeleños to the city’s two mega vaccination sites in City College or Angeles and Angeles City National High School with free services being provided — six Philippine Rabbit buses and 10 jeepneys.
To date, 247,932 Angeleños received first dose of vaccines while 170,861 were fully vaccinated. (Angeles CIO)
