Lolo Pops got his first dose of vaccine yesterday, September 29.
The Angeles City Government, led by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., administered dose one of vaccine on 72-year old Angelito Calingo Gino-Gino, who is better known by “Lolo Lito” or “Lolo Pops” to his avid customers for selling lollipop candies, polvoron, and pastillas around the city despite his age.
It can be recalled last June 2021 that Mayor Lazatin and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel coordinated with the Gender and Development Office, headed by Mina Cabiles, and Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, led by Rudy Simeon, to deliver the medicines of Lolo Pops.
The senior citizen vendor, who hails from Barangay Salapungan, was also given financial assistance for his medical needs.
“Sa abot po ng ating makakaya, ipaprayoridad natin ang kapakanan ng mga senior citizens,, lalo na ngayong pandemya na mabakunahan silang lahat,” Mayor Lazatin said.
