Mabalacat City empowers women through skills training program

To help women develop sustainable livelihoods, the Mabalacat City Local Government Unit, in partnership with La Rose Noire Foundation, Inc., conducted a Skills Training Program for Women under the WELEAP initiative.

A total of 54 beneficiaries participated in hands-on training, including no-bake pizza, cake in a jar, kamote doughnuts, and barista courses covering espresso, latte, cappuccino, and other coffee beverages. The program aims to equip participants with skills they can use to start small businesses, boosting both family income and the local economy.

Attendees from the Mabalacat City LGU included POP-GAD head Charlo Costales, City Treasurer Marlene Mendiola, City Budget Head Narce Paquia, and City HR Head Merla De Leon.

This initiative continues to provide women with opportunities to strengthen their skills, support their families, and contribute to local economic growth.
