The Mabalacat City Government, led by Mayor Atty. Geld Aquino, has partnered with the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Corporation to address traffic congestion through a comprehensive traffic analysis and project harmonization.

Among the key initiatives discussed is the Sta. Ines–Atlu Bola Bypass Road, which will be linked to the Sta. Ines Exit to provide motorists with direct access to NLEX—aimed at improving travel efficiency and easing entry and exit from the city. Road expansion projects and other traffic management solutions were also part of the agenda.

The meeting took place at the NLEX Headquarters in Balintawak on August 26, attended by CPDO Head Rosan Paquia, City Engineer Rodrigo de Leon, Engr. Ernesto Abaya, CPDO staff Paolo de Leon, and Engr. Elvis Mikael de Leon.
