Manankil is now CEO of LIPAD; Christmas comes early in Angeles City

By Rendy O. Isip

It’s official.

Former Clark Development Corporation (CDC) President and CEO Noel Manankil is now the CEO of the Luzon International Premier Airport Development Corp. (LIPAD), the operator of the Clark International Airport (CRK) since it was privatized by the government two years ago under former President Rodrigo Duterte.

Now that Manankil is at the helm of LIPAD, better things are expected to happen at CRK, especially its relationship with the Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) as well as to the locators inside the 2,300-hectare Civil Aviation Complex.

Manankil is well-known in Clark as well as to CIAC for propelling economic developments in the entire Clark Freeport Zone during his stint as CDC President. I am confident that he will do the same at CRK now that the world-class airport facility is being utilized.

CIAC will likewise benefit from the development of CRK as well as the better relationship with Manankil as LIPAD head who will, probably, recognize CIAC as a driving force in the development of the entire Clark Civil Aviation Complex.

I am confident CIAC and Manankil will work closely together for the development of the Civil Aviation Complex.

Congratulations, LIPAD CEO Noel Manankil!

The Angeles City Government, under the leadership of City Mayor Pogi Lazatin, is the first local government unit in the entire country to put up Christmas decorations along major thoroughfares, especially the Abacan Bridge that has been lighted up, and other decors that are being installed in other areas.

It’s a good thing that Mayor Pogi did the right thing of putting up those lanterns and decorations as ushers in the Christmas season even before September.

The Philippines is the only country in the world that celebrate the Christmas season as early as September, or what they call the “Ber Months”.

I also commend my former Boss IC Calaguas for supporting the development of Angeles City and the never-ending projects that benefit the people of the city as a whole.

Calaguas recently served as Vice-President for Airport Operations at CIAC during the Duterte administration where she did a great job together with former CIAC President Aaron Aquino. Both steered CIAC to new heights despite the pandemic.

Good luck, Boss IC and Boss Aaron!
