Mayor Caluag pledges support to PNP’s project “BE CAREFUL”

City Mayor Vilma Caluag has pledged her support, affirmed in the launch of the Philippine National Police (PNP) project “Barangay Empowerment on Child Abuse Resistance and Elimination – Fight Unwanted Lewd Design” (BE CAREFUL), on Tuesday, July 12 held in San Agustin.

The City of San Fernando police and the local government unit inked pact to be partners in achieving to fight sexual abuse against children.

CSF Police Chief PLTCOL Eugene Marcelo said that this project aims to prevent sexual abuses through massive information campaigns in barangays, schools, and workplaces.

Also, this undertaking will involve skills training, personality and development opportunities, and emotional support for the children.

Caluag, a mother herself, said this venture is laudable and vowed to extend its full support , as cited in her message delivered by the Officer-in-charge of the city Public Order and Safety Coordinating Office Louie Clemente.

“Nagpapatunay ito sa tapat at tunay na serbisyo ng kapulisan para sa batang Fernandino. Sino ba naman po ang ayaw maproteksyunan ang kanilang mga anak o batang miyembro ng pamilya mula sa karahasan? Katuwang po ng kapulisan ang suporta ng pamahalaan sa napakahalagang proyektong ito,” said Caluag.
