Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II expressed his gratitude to Angeleño taxpayers as the city government formally unveiled and turned over a new fully equipped fire truck, reinforcing Angeles City’s emergency response capabilities.
The mayor led the ceremonial “push-in” and traditional bottle-breaking rites, symbolizing good luck and safety as the new unit begins service for the city.





The turnover ceremony was attended by Bureau of Fire Protection Region 3 Acting Regional Director FSSUPT Santos C. Gawangna, Pampanga Provincial Fire Marshal FSSUPT Amando C. Elevado Jr., City Fire Marshal FSUPT Bernard P. Dizon, as well as representatives from the Commission on Audit, General Services Office, Budget Office, Accounting Office, City Information Office, and the Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.









Equipped with a high-capacity water pump, modern hoses, advanced safety features, and a fully automatic transmission system, the fire truck is designed to enable faster and more efficient response during emergencies.
In his message, Mayor Jon underscored the vital role of taxpayers in making such initiatives possible, noting that their contributions continue to fund essential programs and services that benefit the community.
“This is for every Angeleño,” Lazatin said, emphasizing that the new fire truck will help ensure safer conditions not only for residents but also for neighboring communities and first responders.
He added that the city government remains committed to further strengthening disaster preparedness and response systems to better protect lives and properties.
With the addition of the new fire truck, Angeles City continues to enhance its readiness to respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of all Angeleños.
