Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. conducted an inspection of the ongoing construction of the seven-storey Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center (RLMMC) on May 21, 2025.

He was joined by Councilor JC Aguas, RLMMC Chief Dr. Froilan Canlas, ACDRRMO Chief Rudy Simeon, General Services Officer Evangeline Malonzo, and Angeles City Anti-Drug Abuse Council Head Ricky Saul.

According to Mayor Lazatin, Phase 2 of the project—covering the completion of the 5th to 7th floors—is now in progress. Once completed, the new facility will boost the hospital’s capacity to accommodate patients, with a total of 120 beds to enhance the city’s public healthcare services.
